General Care And Cleaning
Preserve the luster of your Tower Industries Cultured Stone by occasional cleaning and waxing. Be sure to use only liquid or foam, non-abrasive cleaners. After cleaning, apply a light coat of non-yellowing wax and polish the marble. Remove hard water scale and rust stains with a mild vinegar and water solution, followed by a polishing compound. We recommend Gel Gloss®One Step Cleaner and Polish as the preferred cleaner and polish for your Tower Industries Cultured Stone product.
Certain chemical substances can seriously mar your product, even during brief periods of contact. Protect your Tower Industries Cultured Stone from these harmful compounds:
Cultured products share the expansion and contraction characteristics of natural stone. Attention to sudden and drastic temperature changes is crucial to ensuring a long life for your Tower Industries Cultured Stone. Avoid running exclusively hot water in your sink. Rapid changes in water temperature may cause your top to crack. Your top should provide a long life of trouble-free service if you turn the temperature in your water heater to the low or mid-range.
Stain Removal
Many difficult stains can be avoided by attention to the proper care of your Tower Industries Cultured Stone. Please follow these steps to resolve unusual cleaning problems.
Repair Of Scratches
Minor surface scratches can be buffed out using polishing compound. Deeper scratches or burns require light sanding using a wet, 600-grit sandpaper. Sand lightly with a circular motion in as confined an area as possible. Wet the area amply while sanding. Remove the resulting minor scratches by buffing out with polishing compound.
Small chips may be repaired by first applying clear fingernail polish and then following the instructions for sanding out scratches.
