Superior materials
DuPont Zodiaq® quartz surfaces are very easy to maintain. The quartz used in Zodiaq® - coupled with high-performance, stain-resistant polymers - results in a durable, nonporous, chemical-resistant surface.
Although Zodiaq® is more resistant to heat than most surfacing materials in the market, all surfacing materials, including stone, can be damaged by extreme temperature changes, whether prolonged or sudden. For this reason, trivets and hot pads should be used when placing hot skillets, pans, or other heat generating appliances on the surface.
The durable surface is designed to withstand normal use. While it is resistant to scratches, cuts, and chipping, cutting directly on Zodiaq® should be avoided. Using cutting boards and taking care not to drop or move heavy objects on the surface will help to ensure the long-lasting beauty of Zodiaq®.
Zodiaq® keeps its lustrous gloss and ultra-smooth surface without polishing. Because it is nonporous, Zodiaq® does not require sealants or waxes. For routine cleaning, use a damp cloth or paper towel and, if necessary, a small amount of non-bleach, non-abrasive cleanser.
Even though Zodiaq® resists permanent staining when exposed to liquids (such as wine, vinegar, tea, lemon juice and soda) or fruits and vegetables, wipe up food and liquid spills as soon as possible.
For stubborn or dried spills, if routine cleaning procedures do not work, use a nonabrasive cleaning pad along with common household cleaners such as Formula 409 Glass & Surface Cleaner or a comparable cleaning product.
If gum, nail polish, paint, or other substances are accidentally allowed to adhere to the surface, they can be removed with the use of plastic scraper or putty knife to gently scrape off the substance and by following routine cleaning procedures.
DuPont™ Zodiaq® Residential Limited Warranty for Canada and the United States
DuPont warrants to you, the owner of the original installation of DuPont™ Zodiaq® quartz surfaces in your residence, that upon the following terms and conditions DuPont will, at its sole option, repair or replace, without charge, your installation of DuPont Zodiaq® when installed by a DuPont Authorized Zodiaq® Installer, provided that DuPont or its authorized warranty service agent determines that the product has failed due to any manufacturing defect or any defect in conversion or that is covered by this limited warranty during the first ten (10) years from the date of Zodiaq® installation.
